Okay, a little about me personally..... I am Rhonda. I love to take pictures, love my family, love chocolate (who doesn’t), love wine, food, and starting to have to love the gym. I love frilly tops but am a true Tomboy, rarely will you see me in dresses. I am the youngest girl of 3 older brothers and a good friend.

Now about the pictures! I like fun images….bright, colourful, charismatic images. I specialize in PEOPLE and have become renowed for my candid weddings and exquisite newborn photography! I love it when I can see a connection between people in an image. I also love to create pictures ones that make people feel beautiful… to be creative. I consider my style to be modern portraiture using traditional lighting and placement skills to create images that inspire. Candid Capers Photography is a Brisbane based professional family portrait and wedding photographer servicing the Greater Brisbane regions. Located in the beautiful Redlands part of Brisbane, the photographer travels to you for in-home portrait sittings and outdoor family portraits, or to the wedding locations of your choice.

Rhonda from Candid Capers Photography has been doing photography for over a decade and is also formally trained holding a Dip. Photography, is a member of the professional body AIPP (Australian Institute of Photography) and she is the owner and founder of Candid Capers (TM) which has been operating in the Redlands for approximately 7 years.

Our images are printed at a professional Brisbane photographic lab on Kodak’s top of the range Supra Endura professional paper with a choice of Metallic, Gloss or Lustre. As well as having a superior colour rendition, these papers last up to 100 years in average viewing conditions and 200 years in dark storage (as stated by Kodak).

Our Style

Rhonda has a more natural candid style but has also been fortunate enough to have been formerly trained by one of Brisbane’s leading Wedding and Portrait photographers who is a double master photographer as well as the 2 year full-time Diploma of Photography. With this fabulous mix of lighting understanding, creativity and mix of simplistic posing and/or candid spontaneity Rhonda creates a choice of timeless images with the personality of the children or bridal party shining through every time.

The Equipment

Sporting a range of professional equipment a mile long, Rhonda has just about every lens you could imagine to cover all scenarios. A fabulous wide angle lens with the ability to photograph a whole room, close-up angle of views inside the limo’s and cars (which is impossible with a normal lens) and also has the ability to alter the perspective of an image giving creative angles and views. A wide-angle/medium range telephoto zoom lens where you can go from one extreme to the next quickly in both wedding and portrait photography. A telephoto lens offers large-aperture telephoto abilities giving greater flexibility with depth of field and low light situations. Add this to a back-up camera and a few other lenses, a flash, tripod and other bits and pieces and you have quite an arsenal of equipment. Nothing is left to chance….back-up equipment, back-up batteries, tripod, flash and an attitude to go out and get the job done.
